Terms
These terms govern your use of EngineForge and your purchase of a plan.
Last updated 28 August 2026.
Who you are contracting with
EngineForge is operated by A & Y, licensed dealer no. 558553418, Nahshol 4, Rosh HaAyin, Israel. In these terms, "we", "us" and "our" mean A & Y, and "you" means the person or organisation using EngineForge. A & Y is the trading name under which EngineForge is operated and provides the service to you.
Payments are a separate matter. Paddle.com Market Ltd and its affiliates ("Paddle") act as the Merchant of Record for every EngineForge purchase, which makes Paddle the seller of record for the transaction. When you buy a plan or a top-up, you buy it from Paddle, on Paddle's buyer terms, and Paddle appears on your statement and issues your invoice. We provide the EngineForge service itself, and these terms govern that.
Accepting these terms
By creating an EngineForge account, installing or using the EngineForge application, or continuing to use the service, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree with them, do not use EngineForge.
If you use EngineForge on behalf of a company, studio or other organisation, you confirm that you are authorised to accept these terms on its behalf, and "you" then means that organisation as well as you personally.
Your account
Sign in is by Google or GitHub, and only by Google or GitHub. We do not issue or store an EngineForge password. Access to your EngineForge account therefore follows access to the Google or GitHub account you signed in with, so keeping that account secure is how you keep your EngineForge account secure.
You are responsible for everything done through your account. Accounts are for a single person. Do not share an account, sell access to one, or let anyone else use yours. Tell us at support@engineforge.ai as soon as you believe your account has been used without your permission.
Keep your account details accurate and current, including the email address we reach you on. Notices about your plan, your payments and the security of your account go there.
You must be old enough to enter into a binding contract where you live, and you must not be barred from using the service under any law that applies to you.
What EngineForge is
EngineForge is a development environment for game developers. It includes an AI assistant, a crew of specialist AI roles, and an editor bridge that lets those roles read from and act on a Unity or Godot project you open. It runs on your own machine and works on your own project files.
Every plan gives you the whole product. Plans differ in how much monthly usage they include, not in which features you may use. What a plan currently costs and currently includes is shown on the Pricing page, and the Pricing page is the current statement of both.
EngineForge is under active development. We may add, change or withdraw features. If we withdraw something significant that your paid plan relied on, you may cancel, and the cancellation rules below apply.
Some features are released as previews and are labelled as such. A preview feature may be incomplete, may change substantially, and may be withdrawn at any time. It is provided for you to try, and no part of these terms should be read as a commitment to keep it.
The free plan is provided at no charge and we may change or withdraw it at any time. It carries no commitment of availability.
Plans, usage and top-ups
There is a free plan, and there are paid plans. Each plan includes a pool of usage for the month. The pool refreshes monthly and does not roll over: whatever is left at the end of a month does not carry into the next one.
When the pool for the month is used up, EngineForge stops and tells you. Nothing is charged automatically for going past the included amount, ever. There is no pay as you go and no overage billing. To carry on before the month refreshes, you can buy a top-up or move to a larger plan, and both are choices you make deliberately.
A top-up is pre-paid usage. It does not expire, it survives every monthly refresh, and it is drawn on only after the month's included usage is gone.
Annual plans are billed once for the year and are priced at eleven times the monthly price. An annual plan still grants its usage monthly, twelve times across the year, rather than as one pool on the first day.
Usage is measured by what your requests cost us to serve, so lighter models stretch a plan further than the most powerful ones. How much of your monthly usage is left, and how much of your top-up is left, are both shown in the application and in your account settings.
Payment, renewal and cancellation
Paddle is the Merchant of Record, so the payment terms that bind the sale are Paddle's checkout buyer terms. They cover the billing term, automatic renewal, payment methods, failed payments, taxes and invoicing, and they are the terms you accepted at checkout. They govern the sale itself, and this section describes how EngineForge behaves alongside them.
Alongside those terms, this is how EngineForge behaves. A subscription renews automatically at the end of each billing period until it is cancelled. Prices are shown, and taxes are calculated, at checkout. Upgrading takes effect immediately and Paddle prorates the difference. Downgrading and cancelling take effect at the end of the period you have already paid for, and until then you keep the plan you paid for. Cancelling stops the next renewal and nothing further is charged.
Refunds, including how to ask for one, are covered by the Refund Policy. You can manage your subscription, payment method and invoices from your account settings.
AI features: what you send, and what comes back
When you use the AI features, the prompts you write and the parts of your project that EngineForge sends as context are transmitted through our gateway to a third-party model provider, which produces the response. The providers in use today are Anthropic, OpenAI and DeepSeek, and which one serves a given request follows the model you pick in the application. Which models and providers are available changes as the product changes, and the model picker always shows the current list. Do not send anything through EngineForge that you are not permitted to disclose to those providers, and do not send secrets, credentials or personal data you do not need to send. The Privacy notice explains what is handled and how.
You are responsible for your prompts and for what you do with the output. As between you and us, you keep whatever rights you have in what you put in, and we claim no ownership of the code, assets or text that the AI produces for you. You grant us the limited permission to process what you send solely in order to provide the service to you.
AI output can be wrong. It can be incomplete, out of date, insecure or inaccurate while appearing authoritative, and it can resemble material that someone else has rights in. Nothing EngineForge produces is advice, and none of it is a statement of fact by us. Review, test and verify anything you intend to ship, exactly as you would review code written by a person. Decisions you take on the basis of AI output are yours.
You must have the rights needed for us to process what you send. Do not point EngineForge at code, assets or data you are not allowed to share with us or with a model provider.
Your use of the AI features is also subject to the usage policies of the model provider that serves your request.
Acceptable use
You may not use EngineForge to break the law, to infringe anyone's intellectual property or privacy, or to help anyone else do either.
You may not use it for fraud, for spam or bulk unsolicited messaging, for impersonation, or to generate or distribute malware, harassing or abusive material, hate speech, content that exposes someone's private information without their consent, sexual content involving minors, sexual content depicting a real person without their consent, or content designed to deceive people about who made it or where it came from.
You may not try to defeat the safety controls of EngineForge or of the model providers behind it, including prompts written to bypass a model's refusals or its content filters.
You may not interfere with the security or integrity of the service. That includes probing, scanning or testing its defences without our written permission, circumventing authentication, rate limits, usage limits or billing, scraping or bulk extracting from it, overloading it, and reverse engineering it except where the law expressly allows you to.
You may not resell, sublicense, rent out or share access, run EngineForge as a service for other people, use it to build or train a competing model or product, or extract prompts, model weights or system instructions from it.
You must comply with the export control and sanctions laws that apply to you and to us, including those of Israel, the United States, the United Kingdom and the European Union. You may not use EngineForge if you are located in, or ordinarily resident in, a country or territory subject to comprehensive sanctions, or if you appear on a restricted party list.
We may remove, restrict or refuse to process content, and suspend the features involved, if we reasonably believe this section has been broken. If you believe something available through EngineForge infringes your rights, write to support@engineforge.ai with enough detail to identify it and we will look into it.
Intellectual property
EngineForge, including the application, the agent, the editor bridge plugins, the website, the prompts and configuration behind the crew, and the name and branding, belongs to A & Y or to our licensors. These terms give you no ownership in any of it.
While your account is in good standing we grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to install and use EngineForge for the purpose it is sold for. Everything not expressly granted is reserved. Third-party and open-source components remain under their own licences, which continue to apply to them.
Your projects are yours. We do not claim rights in your game, your code or your assets by virtue of your having used EngineForge on them.
If you send us feedback, a suggestion or a bug report, we may use it to improve EngineForge without any obligation to you and without it becoming confidential. This does not give us any right in your project or in the material you were working on.
Availability
We work to keep EngineForge running well, but we do not guarantee that it will be uninterrupted, timely, secure or error-free. It depends on services we do not control, including third-party model providers and the network between you and them, and it may be unavailable during maintenance, incidents or provider outages.
We do not offer a service level agreement or an uptime commitment with these terms.
No warranty
EngineForge is provided "as is" and "as available". To the fullest extent the law allows, we disclaim all warranties, whether express, implied or statutory, including any implied warranty of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, accuracy, or that the service or its output will meet your requirements or produce any particular result.
Some consumer protection laws give you rights that cannot be excluded. Nothing here limits those rights, and where they apply they take precedence over this section.
Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive losses, or for lost profits, lost revenue, lost goodwill, lost or corrupted data, or the cost of substitute services, however caused.
Our total liability arising out of or relating to EngineForge, on any basis, is limited to the greater of the amounts you paid for EngineForge in the twelve months before the event giving rise to the claim, or one hundred United States dollars.
Keep your own backups and use version control. EngineForge can change files in your project, and you accept the risk of any change you approve.
Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot be excluded by law, including liability for fraud and liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, and nothing limits consumer rights that the law makes unwaivable where you live.
Your responsibility to us
This section applies only if you use EngineForge for business purposes. It does not apply to you if you are a consumer.
If a third party brings a claim against us because of your use of EngineForge, because of content you sent to it, or because you broke these terms or the law, you agree to cover the reasonable costs and damages we incur as a result, so far as the law allows. We will tell you about any such claim and give you the chance to be involved in handling it.
Suspension and termination
You can stop using EngineForge at any time, and you can cancel a paid plan as described above.
We may suspend or terminate your access, in whole or in part, if you materially break these terms, if a payment fails or is charged back and is not put right, if your use presents a security or fraud risk to us, to other users or to our providers, if you repeatedly break the acceptable use section, or if we are required to by law or by a provider we depend on. Where it is reasonable and lawful to do so, we will warn you first and give you the chance to fix the problem.
When your access ends, your licence to use EngineForge ends with it. A cancellation takes effect at the end of the period already paid for, and that period is not refunded pro rata. Unused top-up balance has no cash value on termination unless the Refund Policy or the law says otherwise. The sections on intellectual property, warranty, liability, your responsibility to us, and governing law survive the end of your account.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms as the product and the law change. The current version always lives at this address, and the date it last changed is shown at the top of the page.
If a change materially affects your rights, we will give reasonable notice before it takes effect, by email or in the application. Continuing to use EngineForge after a change takes effect means you accept the updated terms. If you do not accept them, cancel before the change takes effect.
Governing law and disputes
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Israel, without regard to conflict of law rules. The competent courts of Tel Aviv, Israel have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute arising out of or relating to them.
If you are a consumer, this does not deprive you of the protection of the mandatory laws of the country you live in, or of the right to bring proceedings there where the law gives you that right.
Please write to us before starting formal proceedings. Most problems are quicker to solve by email. Disputes about a payment, a charge or a refund can also be raised directly with Paddle, which is the seller of record for the transaction.
General
These terms, together with the Refund Policy, the Privacy notice, the usage policies of the model provider serving your requests, and Paddle's buyer terms for the sale itself, are the whole agreement between you and us about EngineForge.
If a provision is found to be unenforceable, the rest stays in force and that provision is applied as closely to its intent as the law allows. Not enforcing a right is not a waiver of it. You may not transfer these terms to anyone else without our consent. We may transfer them as part of a transfer of the EngineForge business, on notice to you. Neither of us is responsible for a failure caused by something genuinely outside our control.
