Cockpit

Cockpit is EngineForge’s AI-first workspace for working with the Crew and project context. It keeps planning, implementation, activity, changes, and reviewable results visible in one focused surface.

Move through the Cockpit

Browse project assets, then inspect indexed relationships in the Graph.

Primary areas

  • Agent tab for Crew work and the Plan/Forge composer.
  • Store tab for browsing project assets.
  • Graph tab for the locally indexed project view.
  • Project and session navigation in the sidebar.
  • Crew and Changes This Session areas for activity and review.

Work from the composer

  1. Choose a project and session.
  2. Choose which specialists are available to Maestro.
  3. Use Plan for read-only investigation and coordination.
  4. Switch to Forge when implementation is intended.
  5. Respond to requested approvals and inspect the result.

Drawers and transcripts

Agent drawers expose specialist activity, returned evidence, and blockers. Session content provides the visible record of the current work. Retention behavior is documented separately where verified.

Switch surfaces

Use the surface switch to move between Cockpit’s focused AI-first workflow and Classic Editor’s full traditional editor layout. Both are supported working surfaces for the same project.

Limitations

Maestro coordinates specialist tool calls serially rather than running the Crew in parallel. Store assets retain source-specific license terms, and Graph completeness depends on local indexing state.
