Onboarding

First-run onboarding prepares the workspace, account, existing game project, and engine integration needed for the first EngineForge task.

Choose a workspace surface

Choose AI Cockpit for an agent-first layout or Classic Editor for the full editor. Cockpit is the recommended first-run choice, and you can switch surfaces later.

Choose an appearance

Choose the light or dark theme. The preview applies while you decide, and the saved choice can be changed later in Settings.

Sign in to the EngineForge account used by the Crew. Onboarding confirms the signed-in state before moving to the project step.

Open an existing project

  1. Open the folder for the Unity or Godot project you want to work on.
  2. If you are starting a new game, create the project in Unity Hub or the Godot project manager first.
  3. Confirm the detected project before continuing.

Connect the editor

Open the project in its game editor. EngineForge installs the integration into the project and reports the connection as the editor becomes ready. Unity may need time to finish compiling; Godot may ask you to enable the EngineForge plugin in Project Settings.

Run the first task

The final step asks for a real task in the composer. Finish onboarding after the work reaches a reviewable checkpoint. Get Started remains available if you want to revisit the flow.

Change a choice later

Switch between Cockpit and Classic Editor from the product controls. Change appearance or account configuration in Settings, and use Game Folder controls when the engine project is not the workspace root.
